Who should consider the certification pre-check and why?

Certification pre-check with Hydromize gives you the security to succeed easier and faster in the official certification of your green hydrogen or any other RFNBO. It can be carried out in addition to or instead of a costly pre-certification.

Certification pre-check with Hydromize is a digital process accompanied by project-specific advise from a GreenTrax project manager.

What is the value of our pre-check?

The pre-check is ideally done in the planning or building phase of a production plant. With help of a digital twin of the facility we can proof and analyze the production scenarios to calculate the exact carbon emissions and verify the requirements for certifiable RFNBO. The certification pre-check will make sure, your setup can be certified with ease: Find potential issues now and avoid expensive delays in the certification process.

Certification pre-check is especially recommended for projects in the planning phase before construction. This allows important certification requirements to be incorporated early into the project design to prevent future problems.
In addition, the receipts from the pre-check enable participation in tenders, such as those from H2Global.
By carrying out the pre-check you will gain valuable knowledge of RED III requirements and profit from our practical experience in supporting RFNBO producers in their certification procedures.

The pre-check consists of three steps.

Creating a digital twin

We create a digital twin of your whole RFNBO Value Chain. This includes e.g. capturing all emissions from the production process, registration of electricity procurement concept and potential offtaker channels.
By that we identify weaknesses early in the design phase (e.g., unclear power source, missing documentation) – before significant resources are invested.
Calculations and analysis

We calculate the ghg intensity based on delegated act (EU) 2023/1185, review the electricity procurement criteria in compliance with delegated act (EU) 2023/1184 and verify the required documentation.
Pre-check significantly increases reliability for investors and financiers, as compliance with all relevant emissions and sustainability criteria is already carefully checked.
Report and review

We create a comprehensive report of emissions data and existing documentation, highlighting potential for optimization and a clear pathway to delivering certified RFNBO to your customers!
The review findings help avoiding costly changes later and delays in the final investment decision.
